Position Overview:

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Supervisor is responsible for a wide spectrum of responsibilities and must be able to multitask with ease and proficiency. The position requires regular and often daily interaction with all company departments.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Operations
    • Completes bi-weekly attendant schedule
    • Ensures vehicle availability
    • Completes payroll
    • Completes new hire orientation training
    • Conducts driving assessments and field audits
    • Maintains afternoon dispatch board to ensure proper resources are available
    • Administers progressive discipline in coordination with General Manager
    • Ensures base cleanliness by establishing base cleaning schedule
    • Completes at least 4 monthly driver ghosting’s as required by General Manager
    • Ensures proper inventory levels are maintained
    • Reviews monthly deficiency report and schedules and conducts required training
    • Ensures all attendants follow proper procedures as outline in the VMT Policies and Procedures Manual and Global Policies and Procedures Manual
  2. Vehicles
    • Maintains truck maintenance schedule
    • Prepares vehicles; ensures deep cleans are completed
    • Completes monthly truck audits as required by General Manager
    • Completes at least one audit per independent contractor truck per month
    • Ensures all vehicles are scheduled for maintenance in accordance with the Fleet PM reports
    • Ensures all vehicles are properly licensed, meet current regulations and have required documents on board
  3. Reporting
    • Completes reports per assessment (i.e. uniform allowances, fuel reconciliation) or as directed
    • Controls the use of fuel cards
